About Green Room Ohio
Green Room Ohio is an independent online hub for community theater in north central Ohio. We bring local shows, auditions, volunteer opportunities, board resources, and general insight for theatres, venues, and organizations together in one place, and we celebrate the people who make it all happen.
Why We Started
Every theater has a green room. It's the space just offstage where the cast waits, the crew regroups, and everyone shares the nerves and the jokes before the curtain goes up. It's where theater people find each other.
Around here, that sense of togetherness often stops at the theater door. Shows are posted on scattered Facebook pages. Actors miss auditions one town over because they never heard about them. Patrons don't realize there's a great production 20 minutes away. And board members, many of them parents who joined because their kids fell in love with the stage, step into leadership roles with good intentions and no manual.
We've been there. We built Green Room Ohio to be the green room for the whole region: one place to find what's happening, learn what you need to know, and connect with the people who love this work as much as you do.
What We Believe
Live theater matters.
Local stages tell our stories, build confidence in kids and adults, and bring neighbors into the same room.
Everyone has a part to play.
Patrons, actors, crews, volunteers, and board members all keep the show going.

Who We Are
Green Room Ohio was started by theater people who've been in the trenches. Between us, we've acted, directed, built sets, run the box office, sold 50/50 tickets at intermission, and served on and led nonprofit theater boards. We know the late nights, the budget headaches, and the joy of opening night.
This isn't one person's project, and it isn't tied to any one theater. It belongs to the whole community.
What You'll Find Here
Where We Are, And Where We're Headed
We're starting in Crawford, Huron, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca, and Wyandot counties so we can do it well. That's our starting line, not a fence. Theater people from anywhere are welcome to join, and if you'd like Green Room Ohio to include your community, we want to hear from you.

Who runs Green Room Ohio?
A small volunteer team of longtime community theater actors, crew members, volunteers, and former board leaders from North Central Ohio. Anyone can contribute by joining the Community discussions or sharing a resource, and anyone who wants a bigger role is welcome to reach out.
Does it cost anything?
No. Browsing and membership are both free, and we plan to keep it that way.
Can my theater be listed?
Yes. Any theater can submit shows and auditions through our Submit an Event form.
